I cant get over how impressive CJ was yesterday

His anticipation, timing and accuracy is off the charts. Everything I saw in his Ohio State tape / combine performance is translating to the NFL level and its happening 2 games into his career with a 2nd/3rd string oline thats barely practiced together.

What I'm most excited about is his ability to evade pass rush and do little things that buy him more time to make throws.

Yeah he's taken a ton of sacks in the first 2 weeks and a few of them he prob could have quickly thrown the ball away or recognized a defender wasnt going to be blocked and anticipated the pass rush a half second quicker to throw the ball away, but Davis Mills legit would have taken 10+ sacks each of the first 2 games.

Great quarterbacks excel at recognizing pressure packages, making adjustments to protections and doing little maneuvers to buy time in the pocket as they anticipate where the rush will likely come from. It usually takes years to get good at this. CJ isnt great at it yet, but the fact that he already made big adjustments from the Ravens game is extremely promising to me (especially with backup lineman in)

CJ also went 3/3 on 'reverse spins' out of the pocket to buy time and evade hot pass rushers. This is an advanced move that Mahomes, Rodgers, Russell Wilson and Dak excel at. Mills tried it a few times last year and each time he fucked it up

Also holy f**k the timing of his throws. Dudes completely in sync with Nico and Tank

Another thing I love about CJ is how humble he is. He took all the blame for the L after the game even though he's clearly not the problem. Dudes a leader and I'm pumped he's our QB going forward
