I (22M) really want to go to a club for the first time

I have three questions

What is the possibility I can get in without a state ID? I unfortunately lost my whole wallet a week ago so I do not have an ID at the moment (I know, embarrassing!) I have an appointment to get a new one in like two weeks, (couldn’t come soon enough) would something like a birth certificate and a college ID work to verify I’m 21+?
Do most clubs only ask for ID if you’re buying a drink?
What are some tips you would give me? I’m so eager to socialize and be less afraid, I’m willing to go by myself but I understand precautions still need to be taken because it is a club after all
