Humble – Empty Lot

I was looking at an aerial of Humble, TX and noticed something strange.

Below is the aerial of a vacant piece of land that used to have mobile homes? The land is just west of “Queso Bonito”. My research shows it’s been empty for about 20-40 years now … why? Google Earth shows some oil/gas activity in the 1940s on that same tract of land and further east.

Is there anyone who lives in Humble who knows the story?
