HPD Bewildering Incompetence
Just witnessed a guy that lives across the street get into his car, back it into some trash cans on the curb, pull forward and ram his car into a tree. He gets out, locks his car and goes back inside. My husband and I call 911 because it seemed to be some sort of domestic dispute (yelling before he got in the car) and obviously the wrecked and abandoned car in the middle of the street. They come quickly and we let them know we’re the ones that called it in, that we witnessed what happened and that we watched the guy walk back across the street after he wrecked the car. They don’t ask for our names, for a statement, zilch. They don’t go look for him or ANYTHING. Literally all these cops standing in the road waiting for a freaking tow truck to come. When the tow truck driver got the car unlocked I thought they might search the car or look in the glove box or SOMETHING but they literally did nothing, it’s baffling! They could not have put in less effort here, it was comically bad. I have to remind myself that other cities aren’t like this, we just live in Gotham ðŸ˜ðŸ˜…
