Howard Hughes Corp. sells Woodlands building as part of $2B divestiture plan

The Howard Hughes Corp. (NYSE: HHC) has sold a local building as part of its plan to divest $2 billion worth of noncore assets.

The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center building at 100 Fellowship Drive in The Woodlands was sold to an undisclosed buyer for a total purchase price of $115 million, according to a March 18 press release. The deal results in net proceeds of $64 million for Howard Hughes Corp., the developer of the 28,000-acre master-planned community.
