How would you approach a car that is being followed from a bank?

So I noticed a white pickup was being followed by 2 cars. Nissan Rouge and A Focucs. All the way from Chase Bank on Bay area to space center and Genoa Redbluff.

So I went to next lane to the white pickup and told this older gentleman that looks like he is being followed. I was supposed to go straight but I went to left only lane to get the man to see me so I can convey my doubt. He got pissed and rolled up his window.

Then those two cars literally did a Uturn and left.

I might have been wrong or saved his life.
