How to lower humidity inside apartment

Hi guys, I live in a high rise apartment in Houston and according to my nest thermostat it’s often 75-85% humidity in here now. Does anyone have any tips besides a humidifier? Our energy bill is also outrageous because we have found that it’s hard to cool it down in here without turning the hvac fan on pretty much all the time. I saw that that can raise the humidity, but it’s miserable in here without it. We spend about $180 for a 700 ft apartment on energy so I know something’s wrong. We have 4 huge windows where a lot of sunlight gets in, but there’s got to be another way. Any tips are appreciated. Thank you in advance!
