How the Texans couldve won a superbowl if the Broncos didnt draft this one bust QB in the 2nd round.
Hello. Texans fans, im about to piss you off. If a Massive Bust wasn’t drafted by the Broncos in 2016, the Texans could have won a superbowl in 2020.
Ok, so, this will be long. In 2016, the Broncos drafted Paxton Lynch. The Cowboys wanted to trade up for Lynch. If they did in this scenario, they take lynch. Prescott most likely falls to the 6th round where he is taken by a backup-needing Chiefs team, as Alex Smith is getting old. With this, Alex Smith gets hurt in a game that year, and Prescott shines with Kansas City, and now, the chiefs dont need a QB. In 2018, Here, lets say the Broncos get the 4th overall pick. Broncos Draft Leonard Fournette, and since the chiefs still have the 10th pick because they still wouldve traded with Buffalo.. The chiefs select marshawn lattimore, while the saints select Hendon Hooker. With this, the texans, picking 12th, select Patrick Mahomes in the 1st round. The Texans, now with a better QB, couldve easily won the super bowl as they couldve drafted more defensive players and maybe even a running back.
