How much for the home insurance

A little about my incoming house: Rice Military area, 3 story SFH, built in 2002, 2500+ sqft, 3B&3.5B, market value $450,000 – $500,000, not at flood zone.

I talked to my auto insurance company and they gave a quote at $3,000 per year. That sounds crazy cause the estimate from my loan agent is only $1,500 per year. How much do you guys all pay for your home?
