How much does defensive driving cost

I recently got a speeding ticket and called the court house to try to do defensive driving and the clerk told me that the course cost 145$ my mom said the price had really gone up because the last time she got a ticket ( a few years ago ) was around 25 bucks has anyone else had any experience paying this much for defensive driving
