How much are ya’lls average light bills?

I'm coming off of a 24 month contract with Direct Energy where I'm paying around $175 for 1800 kwh. Now its looking like I'll be paying over $300 a month. I see a lot of companies charging around 12¢but most of them i have never heard of and that makes me nervous.
