How is Uptown/Mid-West at night?

I’m planning on attending a weekly event during evenings at a venue on Westheimer & Fountain View, but the problem is that the most convenient METRO route would drop me at Richmond & Fountain View and I would have to walk the remainder (which shouldn’t be terribly far). Is it safe to do this at night?
