How is the area around White Oak Music Hall

I might go to a concert at 7PM today. The only trouble with getting there is that the nearest METRORail station (Quitman / Near Northside) is located a bit south of the venue, south of the bayou itself. Would it be safe to walk to the venue from the station at night?
