How Do you Go 4-5 in a game and get benched the next day???

Seriously how?

You would think a manager would want to reward that kind of game with another game the next day and see if the player can remain hot and carry it over the next game. I seriously dont understand what's going on with yainer diaz and his lack of playing time. How can this guy get any semblance of consistency when he barely plays? He's a young player to boot and he's trying to make it in a tough sport and confidence is so important especially to young players and he gets benched after going 4-5?

Not only is it in the astros best interest to keep giving yainer reps (development, experience, see what we actually got with this guy vs mlb competition) its also in madly's best interest considering how punishing the catcher position along with the fact that its a long 162 game season and the astros need to save maldy, an older player who is in his mid 30s for later on in the season and playoffs yet dusty plays him nearly everyday?

When did maldonado become so untouchable? because from what ive seen this season, maldy's defense has slipped quite a bit and i seem to remember yainer diaz being catcher in games this year where the pitcher he was catching had a shut out and some low scoring games so its not like you are replacing prime ivan rodriguez on defense who is completely incompetent on defense…

Why is the astros not on a regularly scheduled platoon rotation with catcher? Its better for everybody INVOLVED!!! Its better for yainer, a guy who the astros from what ive heard in high regard as a hitter, its better for maldy because you save his legs for later in the season/playoffs, and its better for the astros because you get a much better hitter playing catcher and the defense is not that far apart for such an awful hitter like madly to command everyday catcher status when his defense has slipped quite a bit.

If its just about calling games/pitch selection, you can do that from the bench.
