How do you find things to do in Houston? And what metric do you use to actually figure out where to go?
I’ll preface this by saying I’m not in marketing or PR, I’m just genuinely curious about the decision making behind finding and committing to actually go to some kind of event. I feel like I don’t really know how or why I do that.
I know for me, I worry about how much something is actually going to cost me, part of town/drive from my area, tickets/door cover, beverages, food, parking, how crowded. The weather here can definitely be a factor.
And then there are the intangibles, after actually leaving the house, maybe paying for parking, buying a ticket/paying a cover, is it going to suck? Am I taking a chance on something that I’ve only just heard good things about?
Oh god, just seeing it typed out, I worry about a lot of stuff. I can’t remember the last time I just spontaneously went somewhere. Ugh.
Anyway. How do y’all find cool things to do, and why do you ultimately do those things?
