How do y’all make adult friends??

38Yo Heterobro, realizing i have no real friends around here. Husband and Father and wondering how the heck anyone in my age group finds friends? i jump around every few years for my career so this last year here has been hard to find any folks north of houston that could legit be interesting friends. i was told recently i should look into the gay community to find mature, welcoming, supportive and respectful men that would be interested in making friends (from a subreddit community within the LGBT crowd) and i’m not opposed at all. Hell even bros to do some gaming with, or meetups for fishing, hiking, especially now that the weather is cooler. if there’s any elder millennial parents who may have the answers, please tell me lol.
