How do y’all like Montrose?

Hey y’all! So, my wife (31f) and I (29m) are going to be moving to Montrose in a few months. We’ve lived in The Woodlands for the past 3 years and then stayed in Seabrook a few years before that, so this will be our first time living in the loop. I’m really excited for this move (and to be closer to work lmao), but I just want to see how the folks living in Montrose like the area.

We’re going to be near Dunlavy and West Alabama, what’s the consensus on that area? We’ve only visited during the daytime, so tomorrow night we’re going to be in the area to scope out the nighttime feel. What are some of the areas of Montrose with tons of activities, which streets/intersections are super livery and also what areas should be avoided?

Pretty much if you can tell me your experiences living in or around the area, and some of your favorite things to do I would really appreciate it! I’m finally excited to move into the loop as I’ve lived in Houston my whole life but always lived outside the loop in South Houston, Pearland, etc. Thanks again!!
