How do I prepare myself for Houston humidity come summer time?

I’ll be visiting Htown in the summer for 11 weeks and I know the weather will be oppressive. I’m coming from the places where the weather is much nicer to say the least. How can I prepare?

I’ll bring headbands and sweatbands. Always keep plenty of water on me. Make sure AC is working properly; I’ll buy a fan. Etc…. Anything else I can do?
