How do I pay someone to tap some damaged threads?

Weird and specific question, I'm aware.

That said, I was trying to complete a repair on my car but I have some damaged aluminum threads that are preventing me from doing so. Based on what I know, this means I need to tap them, but I've never done it before and don't want to make it worse.

I called some mobile mechanics, machine shops, and what not and the former said that's out of the expertise (fair) and the latter said I'd need to tow it to them, have them repair it, then tow it back home (which would be >$300).

Can I not just pay someone to tap these threads so I can continue it? It's just for the valve cover holes, so not mission-critical engine blocks threads. If not, ig I'll have to learn.

(I did try searching this up online and I couldn't find anything applicable aside from wrench.com; they also said no lol).
