How did you become a fan?

I just read an interesting post on a different page of all these different stories of how you became a fan. Love to hear everyone’s story

My story is a little weird. I grew up the suburbs of Chicago. Surrounded by a mix of packers and bears. I enjoyed watching the bears but was never a “die hard”(Still root for the hometown team when it doesn’t conflict my interests).

Fast forward to 2012 I had been playing fantasy football and had drafted Arian Foster. Who lead my team to the championship and won. I started to follow that Texans team with JJ Watt, Andre Johnson..etc. (Even became my madden team and that was big back in HS 😂) Eventually I started following more after they drafted DHop and continued through the Osweiler days (oof). I have ever since followed through all of the Watson drama and the fall and now rise of this team. Still haven’t been to a game. Have visited Houston (Have some family there) Wanted to move there with my wife before the job I wanted fell through. Ended up staying in the Chicago Suburbs. So the amount of questions I get about being a Texan fan in this area are high. Regardless I am still here rooting for our boys.
