How did people respond to the election results where you were at?

To be politically correct, when the AP announced their results.* Friends in New York reported cheering and people clapping etc. Did everyone at the Memorial Mall all of a sudden check their phones? Did people in the restaurant start talking about it? I'm just super curious how people in the Houston area responded.
