How could the current metro bus/rail be improved?
I don’t mean adding bus lines or more rail which would be amazing but is not feasible. I mean what smaller things could they do to improve it? For example I don’t think a lot of people on the train are paying, and I see people get on the bus without paying. Outside of typical commuting hours this turns the metro options into what seems to be a shuttle for the homeless to bounce around town and feels overall less safe. I’m fine with it as a guy but I’d imagine women and children wouldn’t feel safe. It looks like they have been installing new bus stops with covers which is great. What else could they do without major infrastructure changes that y’all would like to see? What are you biggest pain points with the current transit system or things keeping you from using public transit? I guess this post would be mostly for people living inside the loop as it seems the park and ride works pretty well for commuting from outside.
