How can I help a homeless veteran?

I met a guy in his 50s at the park I frequent, and apparently he's homeless and living out of his car. I guess he was managing ok and didn't really pry into his homelessness situation, since I've seen him frequently there for over 6 months now. He told me he's a veteran and lost his home, and it sounds like he's worried about losing his car, the stuff inside it, and not having enough money to pay his phone.

From what he's told me, he's a vegetarian and is only eating one meal a day, and seems to sleep only a few hours/day, which I think is affecting his mental health since he talks about demons and corporations following him. Although, I don't know if he's always been doing that.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows of resources for homeless veterans so he can meet some basic needs and perhaps extricate himself from his situation. I've never been in his predicament, so I'm at a loss on how to proceed to better his situation. Thanks!
