How can I dispose of an old bike inside the loop?

Not looking to donate, this bike is cheap, old and in rough shape. Would need a new gear system and tires to be operable, which would probably cost as much as the whole bike did new.

I'm assuming I can't just put the bike out with trash pickup, is there a specific facility I should take it to for disposal/recycling? I didn't find much info on Houston's Waste Management Department page. Thanks!
