How bad has security been at IAH for early morning weekend flights?

I am traveling next Saturday morning with a friend. I travel frequently for work so I have Clear and TSA Precheck, she does not. Has anyone recently gone through weekend morning security? How bad was the regular line? We will be going through Terminal A for a red eye. If I know it's going to be bad, I can pay to add her to my Clear family account, but then I lose a slot to add actual family for an upcoming trip. What's been your experience lately?
