How bad are bugs in Houston(esp at home)

Hello so I’m a high schooler in California and I’m considering a college in Houston. However, I hate bugs, and I was wondering how bad bugs are in Houston, esp with their humidity. How often do u encounter them inside/around your house and what types and sizes are they? Thank you in advance!
