How are the downtown Bus Routes?

Hello. I am doing an internship downtown at Wells Fargo Plaza, I am planning on living around Rice University and taking the bus to the office. How are the routes like and how reliable are the busses? I'll likely be living close to bus route 41 more specifically if anyone knows that specific route. Any and all insights appreciated. Thanks!
