Houston’s housing market saw another record-breaking year in 2019
As predicted, Houston’s housing market broke new records in 2019.
The Houston Association of Realtors attributes last year’s performance to low mortgage rates, healthy employment growth and a steady supply of homes.
Single-family home sales for the full year totaled 86,205, up 4.8 percent from the previous record set in 2018. Sales of all property types increased 4.3 percent over the record set in 2018 to a total of 102,593 — the first time that figure has broken the 100,000 mark.
