Houston’s Depressing Feb Weather Averages
After a pretty standard January, February was incredibly dissapointing. We had a lot of late season and super cold fronts come in, and it definitely brought the averages down. Here is a little breakdown of the averages compared to Weather.com, which is the most accurate data I can find.
Weather.com averages for Feb in HoustonL 67 (daily high)/50 (nightly low)
Averages for Feb 2022 (from my calculations) 60/45
I have never seen that large of a deviation from the average, and it makes this the coldest February and coldest month Houston has seen in YEARS. Not only that, but 17 days were recorded as below average.
TLDR: If this winter has felt long and miserable, its because it has been, and we still ain't done yet.
Edit: Made some adjustments to the historical averages
