Houston’s animal shelters are at the breaking point, temporary fosters urgently needed to save dogs/cats from euthanasia.

I just wanted to share that almost every shelter in the Houston area is at its breaking point – the euthanasia lists are longer and dogs and cats are not getting a fair chance at finding homes. Often dogs come in and are placed on the list right away due to space. If the dog is timid, or has any issues it’s placed almost immediately on the list. There are rescues that can pull these dogs from the shelters but without fosters -both short term and long term they cannot.

Mamas and their babies are on these lists daily, seniors who are only there because their owners died, street dogs who never had a chance. They all deserve a chance at a happy life.

If you can open your home for a dog or cat for just a few days or weeks it means you can save a life.
