Houstonians… please help me with this neighborhood…

I have found a job in Houston. For next 6 – 8 months, I have to work from home until the company gets office space in downtown. Even after that I have to go to work only once a week. So not worried commute.

Looking to buy a house in Houston area. We (wife and I) really liked a few houses in Cairnleigh Ct, Houston area.

Can someone please help me understand how is this area when it comes to crime? demographics? amenities? cost of living etc. Any info will be must appreciated.
