Houston Zoo parking

Why is Noone talking about the Zoo parking? Yesterday was such a nice day for a family outing so I decided to take my son to the zoo. I bought tickets online before leaving the house to make it a bit more convenient than waiting in line for who knows how long. Just to arrive and spend an hour and 20 minutes simply looking for parking. Sucked all the fun out of the experience. When leaving about 3 hours later people were still having trouble finding parking. So my question is…..does anyone have an hacks to avoid this for next time? 🥺 Edit: I'm not asking if people go to the zoo or not. Nor am I asking if people know if parking is bad or not….I'm simply asking what others do as an alternative so I can have some ideas for future references. 🥲
