Houston Space Center

I've been considering taking my boyfriend to the space center as a surprise for his birthday because he is really into space, but I'm not so sure he's into space exploration as much as just the planets and the galaxy. Would the Houston Space Center be worth it for people more interested in the astronomy than the engineering and exploration? Do they have a section or tour geared more towards that?
