Houston software co. closes one of its largest acquisitions ever

Houston-based BMC Software Inc. closed its acquisition of Detroit-based Compuware Corp. on June 1, expanding the company’s footprint in mainframe services.

The deal, first announced in March, is among BMC’s largest acquisitions in the company’s nearly 40-year history.
