Houston school recess tips

Kids will be attending elementary schools in Houston. Are there any tips to help them stay cool?

What do the schools do when it’s too hot outside to play? What’s the criteria to allow the little kids to play inside during a heat wave?

Dumb question but do kids actually spend 15 – 30 minutes outside for recess in August? It’s stinking hot.
