Houston Rodeo first time

Hi so my boyfriend and I are looking to go on a trip to Houston area this winter, we live in Ontario Canada. I really want to go to the rodeo I don't really care about the other stuff just the rodeo events. I cant find a schedule for events on that part yet. What days are best to go? What area is best to sit for a good view of everything?

I also cant seem to find a way to buy tickets off the official website for just a day. All I can get access to is season tickets which we likely would only be going one day so I am not paying that price. How am I supposed to buy them?
