Houston restaurant legend Tony Vallone dies
Legendary Houston restaurateur Tony Vallone has died, according to a Sept. 10 press release.
The Houston native, whose Italian roots lie in Naples, was 75, according to media reports.
His iconic restaurant, Tony’s, will close briefly from Thursday, Sept. 10, through Monday, Sept. 14, and reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 15. His wife of 36 years and partner, Donna Vallone, alongside Tony’s staff will continue with normal business operations after that point.
