Houston restaurant co. closes second restaurant in a month

Sam’s Fried Chicken and Donuts, one of three restaurant concepts acquired by Sambrooks Management Co. in 2018, closed March 9. 

The news comes less than a month after Sambrooks closed Pi Pizza, another restaurant the company acquired in 2018. 

Sam’s Fried Chicken and Donuts, at 601 Heights Blvd., was originally Lee’s Fried Chicken and Donuts before it was bought and renamed, along with Starfish, now 1751 Sea and Bar, and Pi Pizza.
