Houston real estate legend Gerald Hines dies

Gerald Hines, founder and chairman of Houston-based global real estate firm Hines, died on Aug. 23. He had turned 95 a week earlier, on Aug. 15.

Jeffrey Hines, his son who had been running the firm as president, has become chairman and CEO, according to an Aug. 24 press release.
