Houston pedestrian infrastructure is the worst. (esp for cyclists)

So there’s a stretch of road that’s the only road that connects two neighborhoods unless I want to take a 15 minute detour, so I decided to go on it. The sidewalk for no reason ended on the side I was biking on so I had to go on the road (which mind you had two lanes on each side). I was trying my best to be as close to the curb as possible. There’s barely any cars on the road, and the speed limit was at most 30 or 35. I was biking on this road for a good couple of minutes when a car behind me starts honking. Dude you have a whole lane and a half next to you that you can use and I’m literally being courteous enough to risk hitting the curb so you have enough space. Wtf do you want me to do go on the sidewalk? Well there is no sidewalk so use your damn brain and go around me. I love Houston but holy s**t can they invest in better sidewalks please.
