Houston nonprofits’ coronavirus recovery fund more than quadruples in size
The Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund, established to assist the region’s most vulnerable populations during the coronavirus pandemic, has more than quadrupled in size following recent donations.
The fund, established by the United Way of Greater Houston and the Greater Houston Community Foundation in late March, has grown from an initial $1 million to $4.8 million and counting, the nonprofits announced April 8.
