Houston needs a Barton Springs!

Houston needs an equivalent to Barton Springs. It doesn’t have to be a natural spring. I’m not suggesting anything to do with bayou water. However, I do think a really nice large public pool adjacent to a gathering space is something Houston is missing! I could see this working well in the Memorial Park picnic area, SE of the Kinder Land Bridge. This would not solve the lifeguard shortage, but maybe it could help lessen it if people are more concentrated in one area. I’m hoping the City of Houston or a few philanthropic private donors will take this idea for themselves, so we can all enjoy Houston summers a little more! 😉
