Houston ISD approves new principal evaluations with more emphasis on special education

Houston ISD board managers approved a new principal evaluation system for the 2023-24 school year that places more emphasis on special education compliance and achievement than previous years. Officials said the evaluations will be used to determine principals’ salaries for the 2024-25 school year.
