Houston inching closer to being a vacation destination?

It appears they are building a Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park in Webster, near Clear Lake. We have been to the one up by Dallas, and in pre COVID days, it was very busy. If you have younger children, the place is a good visit, but certainly not a destination on its own. But an indoor water park near NASA, Kemah and Galveston could be enough of a center of mass of family activities to start bringing in greater numbers of regional tourists. Houston could be inching its way towards being an actual vacation destination.
