Houston, I’m coming for ya!

23 year old Missouri gal here. I currently live in a small predominantly white town of 10,000. Being biracial (black/white) I’ve always felt out of place and now I’m ready to make the jump! I’m visiting TX for the first time next week. I can’t wait to blend in, and find my people. Tell me, what are your pros and cons, or just experience in general while living in Houston. Any suggestions on good/safe apartments? Ill be by my lonesome so safety is a priority, ahhh I’m too excited!
