Houston humidity & asthma

We’re about six months away from relocating due to various reasons, one being my husband’s job, and everyone keeps telling us how terrible the humidity is going to be for our preschoolers asthma. these are not people who actually live there

Surely, some people who live in Houston have asthma, right? I’m sure I’m being a overthinking mom, but I also don’t want to make a big move only to have my child suffer.

The humidity levels in our state reach 75-80% in peak season but that’s only a few months out of the year.

Also worth it to note that our child does not have chronic asthma. It really only acts up when they’re sick with a respiratory illness.
