Houston home addition contractor

Has anyone used a contractor in the Houston area for a home addition? I’m looking to add on about 1,200 sq footage to my house. I’ve done some searching, but I’d love to hear some real recommendations and see how the process went. Do we start with a general contractor, architect, interior designer?
