Houston health systems, physicians work to combat local coronavirus cases

Hospital systems and doctors in Houston are on the front lines treating the local cases of the coronavirus disease called COVID-19.

As of Sunday, March 8, health officials have identified 12 confirmed or presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 in the Houston area, according to media reports. So far, all of the patients traveled on a cruise line in Egypt, and local health departments have asked all passengers to self-quarantine for 14 days.
