Houston has some incredible small wine shops that need some love.

Ever since Total Wine moved into the Heights(ish), I’ve been trying to remind myself to shop small and local when I can. Yesterday, I was looking for a specific bottle of wine and reached out via Instagram to Heights Grocer, Vinology, and Houston Wine Merchant. All three got back to me with the information I needed, and Heights Grocer in particular had a full on conversation with me giving me lots of great information, recommendations, and tips.

Just a reminder (especially heading into the holiday season) that Houston has some amazing small businesses that will go the extra mile for you as a customer.

Also, if you want to pick up a new and interesting bottle of wine, stop by one of our really great small wine shops. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, the staff have always seemed really engaging and interested in teaching customers about wine!
