Houston-founded structural engineering group acquired again

A structural engineering business founded in Houston in 1976 has been acquired for the second time since 2013.

Illinois-based IMEG Corp. acquired the business from Australia-based Cardno Ltd., according to a June 4 press release. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Cardno acquired the business, formerly known as Haynes Whaley Associates, in 2013 for as much as $22.25 million. At the time, the firm had 93 employees across its three offices in Houston, Austin and Reston, Virginia. With $15.41…
